Dory Richards has been freeing people from the obstacles that hold them back at her clinic in Spring Hill, Florida since August of 2017. Though Dory has been practicing as a therapist since 2012, her journey truly began as a child. She always knew she had a calling to help people heal, but her brother had told her that nursing would never be for her.
Dory brings a warm, compassionate, and caring energy to her clients. She specializes in improving self-worth, helping couples and families resolve conflicts and develop powerful communication skills, effective parenting strategies, making life transitions, reducing anxiety, and creating healthy boundaries.
Most importantly, she instills hope, help you create possibilities, and develops a sense of inner peace. Her counseling philosophy is to listen without judgment and try to understand who you are, walk alongside you with compassion, and provide guidance and authentic feedback by coaching you through the process to create solutions. Dory uses a Gottman technique when taking care of her patients. Combined with cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-based Christian counseling, Dory is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good mental health. This combined technique eliminates those obstacles of fear, depression, and anxieties that tend to hold us back.
Dory believes everyone wants to feel loved, worthy, connected, important and valued, and that is where you find healing and freedom.
